Sesame Street Live! Let’s Party! | An Insiders Guide for Parents

Consider this a “Know Before You Go” insider guide for parents about Sesame Street Live!

What is Sesame Street Live?

Sesame Street Live is an interactive live show that includes both humans and Sesame Street characters.  The show is produced by Feld Entertainment which also produces Disney on Ice, Marvel Live, Monster Jam and Monster Energy Supercross.

The show is for kids ages 18 months to 5 years, or anyone who watches Sesame Street.  The show lasts for about 90 minutes with a 30 minute intermission.   Tickets are required for anyone 1 years and older. Click here to purchase tickets in your area.

There are different Sesame Street Live! shows and each one has a different plot so feel free to go to more than one.

• C is for Celebration, where your friends from Sesame Street are throwing a celebration and you’re invited! And finally, jump to the beat with your friends on Sesame Street in
• Sesame Street Live! Let’s Party!, an interactive show that unfolds on one of the world’s most famous streets at the funniest, furriest party in the neighborhood.

Ticket prices for Sesame Street Live! Let’s Party are $20-$40 depending upon the location (for the main show), and $30 for the special pre-show experience. Tickets are required for anyone 1 year of age and older.  Click here to purchase tickets.

Where are the Best Seats for Sesame Street Live?

This is a hard question to answer, because it depends upon how the theater is laid out.  Usually the seats are on a level (flat) floor for the first section, which is great if you get the first 1-2 rows, but could be a problem if you have an adult (6 footer like me) sitting in front of your child or if the child in front needs to stand in their chair so that they can see over the people in front of them.   I suggest getting the first 1-2 rows on the floor and then looking at the elevated (tiered) seating.

Try to get seating that faces the stage (not on the sides).  Because Sesame Street Live! plays in more intimate locations (smaller) all the seats will have a good view of the stage.

Can You Visit the Stage – In Other Words “Can I Visit Sesame Street?”

Yes!  It’s called the Sesame Street Live! Let’s Party! Pre-Show Experience.  During the Sesame Street Live! pre-show experience, you’ll have the opportunity to tour the on-stage neighborhood of your favorite, furry friends before they arrive for the main show! Cameras are a must as you will want to take pictures under the Sesame Street sign, next to your favorite trash can, Hooper’s Store and other parts of the sets.

Tickets for the Pre-show Experience are $30 per person.  This is in addition to tickets to Sesame Street Live!  Tickets for the pre-show show up on line in Ticketmaster as an “ADD-ONS/SPECIAL ENTRY”.  Sesame Street Live!: Preshow Experience ticket link.

Marian’s Note: Being on stage was just like being a kid again and hoping to be chosen to be part of the show!  People that purchase pre-show tickets are divided into small groups and given time on stage to see Sesame Street!  While you wait, your kids have time to play and decorate for the upcoming show.  The groups are small enough so that everyone gets a chance to take pictures.  My favorite is under the Sesame Street street sign and next to THE trash can.  But the onstage time is also enough so that you don’t have to rush.
